Kronstadt Engineering Company becomes a PIANC member
In 2019 Kronstadt officially became a member of one of the most respected expert associations joining its efforts to improve river and sea-going transport, to modernize port infrastructure, to develop waterways and coastal zones.
The World Association for Waterborne Transport Infrastructure (PIANC) is an international professional organization founded in 1885 to provide expert guidance and advice on technical, economic, and environmental issues in waterborne transport infrastructure, including development of waterways, such as canals and rivers, as well as of ports and jetties.
The association is administered by its General Assembly, while National Divisions and the headquarters in Brussels interact with the members. The qualifying members of the association are national and regional governments as well as various intergovernmental organizations.
From now on, Kronstadt specialists are able to take part in main association events such as international congresses, workgroup meetings, and that allows quick access to all updates of standards, requirements, and recommendations.
No doubt, this membership will have a positive effect on the quality of projects carried out by Kronstadt Engineering Company, which in its turn will be good for Russian port infrastructure and navigation in general.
