Oil-and-gas department of Kronstadt Engineering Company has long-term and effective cooperation with JSC Gazprom Neft Moscow refinery as Kronstadt's specialists have carried out supplies of various equipment to this important refinement facility.
The most notable example of this cooperation in 2017 is construction of dehydration and cleaning unit with the use of decanter and tricanter centrifuges by GEA Westfalia Separator Group, Germany.
Removing of refinement byproducts for further disposal is number one ecological priority for such large cities as Moscow, especially considering that the refinery is located within Moscow Ring Road.
This is why, since 2011, the Moscow refinery has been putting much effort in its program of complex equipment modernization, and that has already resulted in as much as 50% reduction of the negative impact on the environment.
The next step of the modernization is being implemented in close cooperation with Kronstadt Engineering Company. Thus, in Nov-Dec 2016, it supplied the first batch of units for dehydration and removing of mechanical impurities, as well as for treatment of the extracted water.
World-recognized ecological equipment by GEA Westfalia makes use of mechanical treatment processes that demonstrate highly effective extraction of oil from oil sludge when compared to thermal or biological treatment methods. Eventually, it helps to decrease the amount of wastes as well as to lower their hazard class. In particular, the cleanliness of water, which is a byproduct of oil extraction, after this treatment allows wasting it into municipal sewers. Moreover, this type of equipment makes it possible to bring down the level of impurities and water content in oil enough to reuse the cleaned oil in the refinement process.
Our specialists have chosen and supplied CF series Petromaster tricanters for oil dehydration and decontamination. For water decontamination and treatment, CF series Watermaster decanters have been selected.
Putting the decanter centrifuge line into production will no doubt help the Moscow refinery to achieve even higher rates of eco-friendly and technology-enabled operation.
