Kronstadt supplies HOWDEN compressor for Surgutneftegaz PJSC

The compressor equipment will be used to secure non-stop operation of gas-turbine plants that supply power to several production fields in Khanty-Mansi region in Russia.

As of today, Howden company established in 1854 is one of the leading manufacturers of compressors, fans, high-pressure blowers, and rotary heat-exchangers for various industries including oil & gas.

Two-screw rotary compressors with exposed shaft by Howden have earned respect of many specialists on plants producing pressure gas. Howden engineering solutions guarantee the highest efficiency combined with low operational costs.

Special department in Surgutneftegaz PJSC responsible for gas gathering and crude oil vapors management made an inquiry for a compressor by Howden to serve as a backup unit while the main units go through their scheduled maintenance. These units are important as their supply pressure gas to gas-turbine power plants of Russkin, Lyantor, Bittem, and Luk"yavin production fields.

Use of this backup compressor will certainly reduce the downtime as the screw compressors are under maintenance.
